Backflow Testing
Texas requires backflow prevention assemblies to be tested annually by a licensed tester. Whether you manage a commercial building, apartment complex, hospital, school, or industrial facility—or you’re a homeowner with an irrigation system—Duck Works delivers fast, certified testing with same-day reporting so you stay compliant and your water stays safe.
What Is a Backflow Prevention Assembly?
A backflow prevention assembly is a mechanical device installed on your water line that keeps contaminated water from flowing backward into the public water supply. Without one—or with one that isn’t working properly—pesticides, chemicals, bacteria, or other contaminants can enter the drinking water system through cross-connections on your property
That’s why the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requires annual testing by a licensed Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT). Failed or missed tests can result in water service shutoff and fines from your local water utility.
Certified Backflow Services for Every Property Type
Annual Backflow Testing
Your backflow preventer must pass an annual test to stay compliant with your city’s water utility. Our TCEQ-licensed testers handle RPZ, DC, PVB, and SVB assemblies. You get a detailed test report and electronic filing with the city—usually same-day.
Cross-Connection Surveys
A cross-connection survey identifies every point on your property where non-potable water could potentially contact the drinking water supply. We assess your plumbing, irrigation, fire suppression, and process lines—then recommend the right level of protection for each connection.
Repairs & Recertification
If your assembly fails a test, we diagnose the issue, perform the repair, and retest on the same visit whenever possible. No waiting for a second appointment. No chasing a separate repair contractor. We carry common repair kits for all major assembly types so most fixes happen on-site.
We Test Backflow Assemblies for All Property Types
